Macon County Commissioner Bob Simpson (L) with Macon County Firefighters of the year, Tina Francescutti (C) of Burningtown VFD and William Lewis (R) of West Macon VFD. They have been with their Depts 5 and 6 yrs, respectively.
Last night's meeting of the Macon County Commissioners was fairly short due to the removal of several items from the agenda, which is to be found at the end of this article. The next meeting of the Commissioners will be on May 24th, with a Budget Work Session scheduled for the 27th, and the date for a public hearing on the budget being tentatively set for June 7th.
